When I started my career in photography in 2009, I had no idea that it would eventually lead me to a little semi ghost town in central Nevada called Goldfield.
Being raised in the Northwest, I believed that I would spend the rest of my life and career in Southern Oregon. Grants Pass was my home off and on for almost my whole life. But in 2017 we decided that it was time to venture out of Grants Pass and go do something completely different.
Hello Goldfield! The first time I saw this town I was intrigued. There was a feel about it that roared “Adventure!” And after being here several years now it has been nothing but adventure.
Add to photo ops galore, there is a rich history here that goes back to the days of the intoxicating and dangerous gold strikes. Not only that but the night skies here are stunning. I’ve discovered rock hounding, bottle collecting and developed a new interest in antiques. I’ve found that Nevada holds many secret places that most people don’t even know about. Desert riding is a blast! And I have become a hotelier and tour guide to boot.
