Jaunts with Just Jeri

Beginner

Any camera will do. You can bring a cell phone, a point-and-shoot or a fancy DSLR. Even a film camera if you want to. We will be learning/practicing the basics in composition, including Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines, Simplification, and even White Balance. There are at least 18 rules of composition and you can practice all the rules with any camera you choose.

Intermediate

This is the stage where you have a DSLR (a digital single-lens reflex camera which is just a camera that uses mirrors and interchangeable lenses). You know how to use it in automatic mode (or the green square) and maybe a few of the other modes but don’t know how to get beyond the basics.

Advanced

You know (sort of) how to use your DSLR in manual mode but are frustrated by the things you wish you knew more of.
